Over the past 2 years I have had a wonderful time at Harvard working on the history of definitions of life. The first fruits of that research appear on these pages and many of you have kindly followed and commented on them. Thank you.
For the 2015-2016 academic year, I will be at the Center of Theological Inquiry in Princeton, NJ wrapping up my book on the history of life-concepts – specifically the history of vegetable souls – and beginning a project on what people want from a definition of life.
